Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao presided as the Chief Guest at the International Conference-cum-workshop on 'Understanding Consciousness: Contemporary and Classical Perspectives" being organized by the Andhra University. The Minister released a book entitled "Collection of Essays on Higher Education". Vice Chancellor Prof. YC Simhadri who presided at the meet said that International seminars with coordination from various Departments will be held frequently. He released the book "Facets of crime" authored by VS Bose and Prof. Ramakrishna.

Inter-College Hockey Competitions of the Andhra University began at the Port Golden Jubilee Ground today. A total of 9 colleges of University are taking part in the competitions. LB College defeated Govt. Degree College in the first match.
