Vinayaka Chaviti celebration arrangements going in a grand scale
Visakhapatnam, September 16, 2004

Arrangements are being made to organize Sri Vijaka Chaviti celebrations in Sri Sampat Vinayaka Temple on a grand scale. The Celebrations starts from September 18th to 26th of this month.

The Temple Executive Officer and Additional Commissioner MVSS Vishnu Prasad in a statement said here today. On the eve of the celebrations, on 18th morning at 5am, Ganapati Homam and relevant pujas will be performed. In the evening hours, devotional programmes will be conducted during this period.

Engineers' day celebrations concludes
Visakhapatnam, September 16, 2004

On the eve of Bharat Ratna Moskshagundam Visweswarayya 144th birthday, 37th Engineers day celebrations were conducted on a grand scale. On this occasion, HPCL Refinery Deputy General Manager P.Ramakrishna participated as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he said corruption is more dangerous than any other ones and advised the gathering to work in a dedicated manner.

East Coast Railway Senior Divisional Engineer P.Venkateswararao explained the life of late Visweswarayya. DVA Narasimham, Retired Engineer, who wrote the book 'Defects in Buildings' was released on this occasion.

Hindi celebrations conclude
Visakhapatnam, September 16, 2004

Hindi Fortnight celebrations have concluded at several public sector units and banks. Speaking at the valedictory at the Dredging Corporation of India on Thursday, Y.Lakshmi Prasad, member of the Kendriya Hindi Samithi, stressed the need to promote Hindi as link language.

The DCI CMD, Neerav Kumar Gupta presided. At Kalabharati Auditorium of BHPV on Wednesday, Dr.Lakshmi Prasad distributed cash awards to employees who had passed the Hindi examinations. The General Manager (Finance) ISSS Ganesh inaugurated the programme.
