Union Bank of India Dwarakanagar Branch to offer Core Banking Services
Visakhapatnam, September 27, 2004

For extending excellent services to the customers, the Union Bank of India, Dwarakanagar branch has started Core Banking services on Monday. The customers can transact business any where in the country through its branches due to this Core Banking system.

In the inaugural function, District Judge N.Vidya Prasad participated as chief guest. He inaugurated the online facility. On this occasion the Senior Branch Manager G.Trinath has explained the importance of this facility.

This is the 361 branch with this implementation of this facility. Speaking on this occasion the Assistant General Mangaer MK Ravi Varma said it is planning to make 750 branches under Core Banking Services.

Visakha Dairy elections
Visakhapatnam, September 27, 2004

The Principal District Judge, Ch.Vidya Prasad on Monday passed orders restraining four MLAs and another person along with their supporters not to interfere in the process of elections of Sri Vijaya Visakha Dairy scheduled to be held on Monday. The City police promulgated prohibitory orders in the area around the Visakha Dairy with effect from Monday evening.

A free ENT camp was organized under aegies of the Profit Shoe Company at the NTR Vidyalayam in Anakapalle on Sunday. In all, 104 children of the Municipal Girls High School at Velpula Veedhi and a few from the adjoining areas were examined.

Displaced persons seek house sites
Visakhapatnam, September 27, 2004

The displaced persons of Pharma City in Paravada have appealed to the State Government to provide house sites and Rs.one lakh as ex-gratia to each of the displaced families.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy during his visit to Paravada for laying the foundation stone for the Pharma City, the secretary of Pharma City Nirvasithula Samkshema Sangam pointed out that about 2300 acres of land was acquired from the farmers for the cause of Pharma City by the Government and it the responsibility to rehabilitate the displaced persons, provide them employment and pay adequate compensation.
