The IT Week 2004 being organized by the Systems Department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant from 6th September to 11th September was inaugurated by the CMD BK Panda. He released the 'IT Policy' of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on the occasion.

Allegations on AU VC to be probe by a Retired Judge
Visakhapatnam, September 6, 2004

An inquiry by a retired judge will be conducted into the allegations against the Andhra University Vice-Chancellor, YC.Simhadri according to the Minister for Higher Education, P.Venkateswararao said on Monday. He said that the Principal Secretary of Higher Education will be visiting shortly to receive the representations from the student and teaching communities of Andhra University affairs.

Sri Krishna Janmastami Celebrations
Visakhapatnam, September 6, 2004

The main annual cultural event of the Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir on Monday celebrated Sri Krishna Janmastami. The celebrations started with the puja and bhajans and speeches by some school children on Lord Krishna. The scenes from the life of Lord Krishna and the epics were enacted in specially decorated classrooms which were opened to the public from the afternoon. The programme was inaugurated by the general secretary of the Libenshilfe T.Saraswathi Devi.

Annual NCC Camp from September 11
Visakhapatnam, September 6, 2004

A combined annual training camp for NCC cadets commenced on Saturday and a total of 750 cadets including 255 girls from all over the Stare are participating in the 12 day camp being held at the HPCL Housing Colony, Yarada Park. The main intention of the camp is to select cadets for the AP NCC Directorate team for the forthcoming All India Sainik camp scheduled next month according to Commanding Officer, Munish Pathak.
