Entrepreneurship Programme by Small Industries Service Institute

Visakhapatnam, September 13, 2004

The Visakhapatnam branch of the Small Industries Service Institute of the Ministry of SSI will organize a one month entrepreneurship development programme on 'Desktop publishing' from September 27th to October 26th. This was disclosed by its assistant director and the course fee is Rs.500 (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Physically challenged candidates). Details can be had on phone 2517942.

CITU struggle for VSP expansion

The sixth CITU conference has given a call for launching a struggle to achieve the expansion project of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and to resolve the issues faced by workers. The VSP expansion would not only create employment but also ensure progress of the industry. The CITU leaders who addressed the two day meet which concluded on Sunday.

Women constable dead
Visakhapatnam, September 13, 2004

A woman police constable was found dead in her residence on Monday according to the one town police. She is working in the traffic wing of the III town Police station and was living alone. Neighbors grew suspicious after a found smell emanated from the locked house of Suseela the deceased constable on Monday. Police suspected that she might have died on Friday last.
