Nalanda Talent School to organize Inter-school talent search competitions
Visakhapatnam, September 1, 2004

Nalanda Talent School will be conducting Inter-school talent search competitions on 3rd and 4th of this month. The competitions will be held in three categories i.e., 8 to 10 years in one group, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 15 years as groups. According to the Vikas Educational Institution T.Nagaprasad, nearly 36 schools students are participating.

Dharna by UII Officers Association
Visakhapatnam, September 1, 2004

Officers of the United India Insurance Officers' Association staged a dharna at the Regional Manager's office on Wednesday in protest against the management's failure to protect the interest of the executives. The Association spokesman D.Dhanuantari said that the officers would launch an all India strike on September 17th to press wage parity with private insurance companies and other related demands.

Three women held on charges of theft in AU
Visakhapatnam, September 1, 2004

The Crime Police have arrested three women on charges of theft of laboratory equipment of Andhra University worth Rs.1.25 lakhs and recovered the same from them. The stolen equipment included a spectrometer, centrifuge, electric balance, Bunsen burner heads and gas cylinder. It was told that they also committed similar office on August 16th in the Department of Marine Engineering Department.
