Taxpayer Friendly Scheme for those who failed to register at Excise office
Visakhapatnam, October 5, 2004

Service providers who have failed to register with the office of the Central Excise Commissioner, can avail of the extraordinary Taxpayer Friendly Scheme which will be in operation till the end of this month. The Commissioner, Ram Prakash said, under the scheme, any service provider can make a declaration about his liabilities towards Service Tax and register on the spot.

Illegal blood banks
Visakhapatnam, October 5, 2004

The Drug Inspector, Ravi Udaya Bhaskar said that blood donation camps conducted by several blood banks in the city were illegal. He further said that only four blood banks ie., KGH, Government Victoria Victoria Hospital for Women and Child Blood Bank, AS Raja Voluntary Blood Bank and Rotary Blood Bank had been accorded permission by the AP Transfusion Council. He appealed the public not to donate blood at the campus conducted by unrecognized blood banks.

Program of ecology at Ukkunagaram
Visakhapatnam, October 5, 2004

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Tuesday organized a program to create awareness on ecology at Ukkunagaram on Tuesday. The in charge Deputy General Manager (Town administration) opened the third phase of the Ecological Awareness among residents of the Township for Health and hygiene project. The Program was initiated by former Chairman and Managing Director BK Panda three months ago.
