SHG Sammelan begins at Andhra University

An SHG Sammelan organized by the Andhra University's Department of Social Work was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, YC Simhadri on Wednesday. Andhra Bank ATM inaugurated

An ATM of Andhra Bank was inaugurated at its Visakhapatnam Port Trust branch by the Port Chairman K.Ratna Kishore on Wednesday. The Andhra Bank Deputy General Manager, J.Sarath Babu said with this, the Andhra Bank has commissioned 12 ATMs in Visakhapatnam city.  Visakhapatnam, November 24, 2004Senior Vice president of Reliance Industries, M.Ganapathi said on Wednesday while inaugurating the RIPPLES 2004 said the Universities and industries should collaborate more to keep pace with the fast developing technology. The national seminar inaugurated at the chemical engineering studies in the Andhra University Engineering College, he said there were a lot of opportunities for the chemical engineering students and they could avail the same by improving their skills. The Vice Chancellor, Andhra University YC Simhadri appreciated the students for organizing the national seminar and felt that the curriculum of chemical engineering branch should be updated to meet the challenges. Memorandum to Steel Secretary
Visakhapatnam, November 24, 2004
Representatives of various trade unions of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant met the Steel Secretary, Manoranjan during his visit to the plant on Wednesday and submitted memoranda seeking solution to their grievances. The Visakha Steel Employees Congress, the recognized trade union, demanded expansion of the plant's capacity upto ten million tonnes, sanctioning of captive iron ore and coal mines, allotment of house sites to employees, provision of employment to displaced persons and promotion of staff in all categories.
