Navy Mela from Thursday

Navy Mela, one of the main attractions of the ongoing Navy Week celebrations of Eastern Naval Command will be inaugurated at Fleet Sports Ground near Pipeline Junction by the Flag Officer Commanding in chief, OP Bansal on Thursday. FCI starts buying rice

The Food Corporation of India would start purchase of rice from 25th November. This was announced at an awareness programme on remunerative price for farmers organized by the Civil Supplies Department on Tuesday. The District Supply Officer, Roop Kumar directed the officials to ensure minimum support price. This year's price for paddy was Rs. 590 and Rs. 560 for Grade I and II respectively. The farmers could lodge complaint if the minimum support price was not paid in full and severe action would be taken if irregularities were noticed. File Management System introduced at Visakhapatnam Collectorate

The computerized File Management System through Knowledge Management Automation Office Management was introduced in the Collectorate at the initiative of the Collector, Praveen Prakash to speed up the processing of files. It will also help the district officials to assess the capabilities of the staff at lower level and analyze the day to day progress in the movement of files according to an official press release. BMS Dharna before Collectorate

The women's wing of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh organized a dharna in front of the District Collectorate on Monday to protest against the adamant attitude of the management of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., which refused to regularize the services of 75 works of the canteen despite the Supreme Court orders. According to the BMS district unit president, K.Bhavani Shankarudu, the canteen workers in the refinery who were working since 1983 had approached the court for getting their services regularize. The Labour court and the AP High Court as well as it Bench gave the verdict in favour of these workers. The management went to the apex court which gave judgment in favour of the workers. Dharna by BJP on December 1st

The former all India president of BJP M.Venkaiah Naidu said that the BJP has decided to organize dharna to protest against the price rise and anti people's policies of the UPA Government at the centre on 1st December.
