Minister speaks on VAMBAY Housing Scheme
Visakhapatnam, November 19, 2004

Ten percent of houses under the Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojana would be allotted to the local people, according to the Minister for Roads and Buildings, Jakkampudi Ramamohana Rao said on Friday.

Speaking to reporters after laying the foundation stone for the infrastructural facilities at the VAMBAY housing programme in Madhurawada, the Minister said that in addition the 6700 houses sanctioned, another 5000 would be sanctioned for the poor and under the scheme.

State Police Duty Meet in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam, November 19, 2004

The Visakhapatnam Police will host the 47th State Police Duty Meet 2004 to be held at the Police Parade Grounds from Sunday to Thursday. The Police Commissioner, B.Prasada Rao said that the objective of the meet was to enhance the professional skills of the policemen.

Nearly 20 teams, including those from CID, Intellegence, Grey Hounds and Railways would participate in the events.
