A workshop on the proper use and upkeep of fish finders, GPS, echo s0ounder and RT for the crew of the mechanized fishing boats and boat operators will be conducted by the CIFNET at its premises on Tuesday. An old suitcase left by an unidentified person on the premises of the State Bank of India, Industrial Estate Branch on Monday caused panic among the public for some time. The bank staff saw the suitcase lying in the premises since morning and called the police even after it was not claimed by anyone even after 5pm. The police rushed to the sport and after an examination found only some papers in the suitcase.

According to the Chairman of the Board of Studies and the Director of the workshop, P.Bobby Vardha, the workshop is being conducted to create scientific awareness and dissemination of information relating to science through mss media.
