On the occasion of its 3rd Anniversary, Master Trainees Club. Visakhapatnam organised a seminar for students of Hotel Tycoon. The seminar on projects for Intel's Science Talent discovery Fair (ISTDF) was presented by Dr. Sundar Rajan, professor, Geo Physics, Osmania University.
Dr. Rajan, a member of the panel of judges for the previous ISTDF gave on in depth presentation covering the issues of planning, designing, presentation and documentation needed for ISTDF. The seminar was primarily organised for Students of Classes 9-12. Over 180 Students from 25 schools participated in the seminar accompanied by their project guiding teachers, after the seminar Dr. Rajan took time to interact with the Students and answered their personal queries regarding ISTDF.
Mr. V.V.Jagadeshwari, Coordinator, Intel STDF, for South India gave a presentation on ISTDF covering the technical details regarding the nature and scope of the Intel's Science Talents discovery Fair and participation regulations.
Mr. A Rajsekhar, president MTCV welcomed the gathering and encouraged the students to make the most out of this unique event and the ensuring Science Fair. Mr. Prasantha Kumar Panda, Secretary, MTCV, addressed the students on the occasion and asked the students to use this opportunity as a stepping stone for bringing in innovative and practical learning and teaching methods into the class rooms. Mr. Vijayalakshmi , Coordinator for MT Clubs, Intel, was present on the occasion.
The Master trainers' Club, Visakhapatnam celebrated its III Anniversary at an impressive function held at Hotel Tycoon.
A. Rajasekhar, President, MTCV, In his address to academic community at the event, emphasised on the need for bringing in technology into our educational systems. Speaking on the occasion Prasantha Kumar Panda, secretary, MTCV, highlighted the activities of MTCV and presented the future plans and targets of MTCV.
Dr. Sundar Rajan, Prof. of Geophysics, Osmania University speaking on the topic "Role of Technology in education for better learning" highlighted the roles of technology, teachers and students in the educational process. Dr. Rajan also uplinked the MTCV website, www. mtcvizag.com.
M.Radhakrishna, Head of the Department of Maths, Nalanda Junior College, spoke on the topic of teaching mathematics in innovative ways to meet current educational requirements. Radha Krishna also released the MTCV newsletter.
C.Vijaya Lakshmi, Jagade eshwari, Coordinators, Intel Science Talent Discovery Fair, also spoke on the occasion. Teachers and Principals from several schools in the city participated in the function.
