CPI (M) wants hospital on Old Jail site
Visakhapatnam, July 7, 2004

The State Committee of Communist Party of India (M) is for establishing a super specialty hospital at the site vacated by the Central Prison in the heart of the city.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, and the CPI - M State secretary, BV.Raghavulu said the Centre had proposed setting up seven super specialty hospitals on the lines of AIIMS in various parts of the country.

The State Government should take the opportunity for promotion such a hospital in Visakhapatnam.
Train services cancelled

Two passenger train services between Visakhapatnam and Koraput will be cancelled on Thursday as the East Coast Railway is undertaking monsoon precautionary works with the help of monsoon relief train from 8am to 6pm on that day.
