Mayor Rajana Ramani for London Conference

Visakhapatnam, July 14, 2004

Visakhapatnam Mayor Rajana Ramani is invited for the Local Government International Bureau (LGIB) conference which will be held from 18th July to 23rd July. The All India Institute of Local Self Government has sent an invitation to the Mayor.

Out of eight invites, she is the only women one and she attended nearly 9 national and international conferences. Her services were lauded by all like e-Seva centres, private participation in the development of parks and various activities.

Demand for release of scholarships

Visakhapatnam, July 14, 2004

The District committee of Students' Federation of India staged a demonstration in front of the Collectorate on Wednesday demanding immediate release of pending scholarships.

In a memorandum submitted to the Collector by SFI District secretary, several thousands of students who depended on scholarships for their studies suffered as they were not sanction in time and at times did not reach them.
