VUDA cautions against illegal layouts
Visakhapatnam, December 18, 2004
The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has identified some unauthorized layouts in the city limits and in Parawada and Anakapalli mandals and has cautioned people against entering into any transaction with the promoters concerned. A VUDA spokesman on Saturday gave the list of unauthorized layouts which have no approval by VUDA.If any one purchases a plot in, they will be doing at their own risk. VUDA's Housing project finalized

The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has given the contract for construction of mega housing colony project at Madhurawada village at a cost of Rs.139.65 crores to Jurong Infrastructure (India) Pvt.Ltd. East Coast Railway observes Energy conservation Week

EC Railway to run winter special trains

The East Coast Railway will run weekly winter special trains in the Visakhapatnam Secunderabad and Tata Chennai section to clear the extra rush during this winter season. The Secunderabad Visakhapatnam will leave Secunderabad every Sunday and reach Visakhapatnam on the next day and the train will run on December 19th,26th, 2nd 9th and 16th January while Tata Chennai leave Tata every Saturday, December 18th, 25th and 1st 8th, 15th,22nd January according to a press release. School boy death- Doctors deny negligence

Members of IMA, the Andhra Pradesh Private Nursing Homes Association and the Andhra Pradesh Government Doctors' Association on Saturday expressed anguish over allegations that a seven year old boy died recently due to negligence of doctors. Without verifying the facts from professional bodies and experts, one should not arrive at a conclusion according the IMA city president NV Raghavarao who spoke to the reporters. The IMA Honorary Secretary, USN Murty, the retire principal of AMC K.Venugopal and M.Sriram and others clarified that the doctors at SR Hospital as well as Care Hospital had taken adequate care to save Manoj Kumar. Dr Rao said the boy was undergone surgery on the forearm and during the operation, the boy developed cardiac arrest. As the chances were remote, he was immediately rushed to Care Hospital where a dedicated intensive care unit was available. Flights rescheduled

The timings of Alliance Air Flights to Visakhapatnam airport have been changed due to persisting fog during the mornings. According to the Area Marketing Manager of Indian Airlines, Bharat Kashyap, the flight No.CD 7561 would leave Mumbai at 9.15am and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 11am while CD 7562 flight would leave Visakhapatnam at 2.30pm and reach Mumbai at 4.15pm. Similarly, the flight CD 7572 would leave Visakhapatnam at 11.30am and reach Hyderabad at 12.30pm while CD 7571 would leave Hyderabad at 1pm and reach Visakhapatnam at 2pm.
