Meeting on Visakha Utsav held

The District Collector, Praveen Prakash has convened a meeting with the officials concerned to smooth and fair conduct of the prestigious 'Visakha Utsav' to be held in the month of January. He directed the officials to take necessary measures not to give scope for any untoward incident during the Utsav period. SFI condemned the show causes notices by AU

The Student Federation of India Andhra University unit has severely condemned the AU management in issuing show cause notices served on the AU research scholars. The students who went on agitating for better amenities in mess and other issues and the Andhra University management is contemplating actions on students by the VC which shows the adamant attitude. He instead of solving the problems is creating a provocative method and cautioned to withdraw the notices served failure of which they will go for agitation. Seminar on Exim Entrepreneur held

The eleven day musical discourse on Srimadramayana by the noted Telugu and Sanskrit scholar, M.Nagaphani Sarma will begin at the Gurazada Kalakshetram on Saturday evening. Mr.Sarma speaking to reporters on Friday said he was starting training classes to improve memory for students as he has mastered the techniques as was proven in his numerous Ashtavadhans. The memorary training would impart would be something different from personality development and stress management. The memory training class would be held from 23rd December from 8am at the venue. Dharna by CITU to safeguard RTC

Upon the call given by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions State Union call, the CITU has conducted a dharna before the Collectorate on Friday to protect the APSRTC. On this occasion, the CITU District president MB Radhakrishna said that due to the RTC is going on losses due to the failure of not taking proper decisions to safeguard the interests of the RTC and the Government should take necessary measures to ply the buses in tune with the needs of the customers.
