Eastern Naval Command marks Vijay Diwas

The Eastern Naval Command celebrated the 33rd anniversary of Vijay Diwas on Thursday by paying tributes to the valiant personnel of the armed forces who laid down their lives in various operations including the 1971 war against Pakistan. On this day at Dhaka, the Pakistani forces under the command of Lt.Gen.AAK Niazi surrendered in the presence of the three tri service theatre commanders of the Indian Armed forces. Floral wreaths were placed on the day at the 'Amar Jawan Jyothi', the Navy War Memorial on RK Beach in the morning. Lakhs of pilgrims have darshan of Kanakamahalakshmi

Nearly two lakh devotees had the darshan of Sri Kanakamalakhmi on the first Thursday of Margasiramasam. Many of them were thronged the complex from Wednesday night itself. Once the panchamruthabishekam was over, darshan was allowed from 1am. The Assistant Commissioner of Endowments S.Kondala Rao said that due to proper arrangements, the devotees had the darshan less than half an hour unlike two hours in the last year. Sankar Foundation record in Eye operations

The Sankar foundation Eye Hospital Foundation Managing Trustee M.Sankara Rao in a statement said the Hospital has created a record of conducting cataract operations of ten thousand in a year. He appreciated the doctors, Para medical staff and others for their cooperation. He appealed the staff to conduct more operations in create a new record. Doctor's negligence claims a boy life

One Mr.Manoj Kumar, who is studying in Balaji Public School, slipped while playing on Friday and the school immediately taken the boy for treatment to one SR Hospital. The Doctors gave first aid and sent him home. As the pain could not come under control, he was again taken to the same hospital where the doctors said a small operation is required to rectify the bones and conducted the operation. Due to over dosage of anestia , the body is about go into coma stage and the doctors keeping the entire situation confidential noticing the condition of the boy is out of control have taken him to a corporate hospital for better medical aid where the boy was dead. It is given to understand that the hospital authorities are trying to have a compromise with the parents of the boy for Rs. 3 lakhs. IT raids

Income Tax raids were reportedly conducted on the office premises of a private TV Channel owned by political leader. The IT officials also carried out search operations on a college owned by him at Gajuwaka and firms with which he is associated. Sources reveal said some incriminating documents were seized.
