The three member expert committee going into the controversy issue of one thousand pillar mandapam and construction of mahaprakaram at Tirumala will submit its report to the State Government by the end of January. Shri PVRK Prasad who is heading the committee would ask for more time if Tirumala master plan included in the terms of reference was about a comprehensive plan with amenities for pilgrims for the next few decades. He along with the committee members on Thursday met the Head of Sri Sarada Peetam Sri Swaroopanandendra Swamy for his views. Sri Swaroopanandra Swamy said the one thousand pillar mandapam need not be reconstructed at the same place and as it was located outside the main temple and agama sastras would not apply.
