The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has won the in the integrated steel plants sector for the third consecutive year. The award will be presented to RINL, a Vizag Steel Plant at a function to be held in New Delhi on December 14th, National Energy Conservation Day. The Prime Minister will give away prizes. The former MLA Pyla Appala Naidu died of heart attack at his residence at Paravada near on Friday. He was sarpanch of Paravada from 1965 to 19883. He contested election to the Assembly from Paravada on TDP ticket in 1983 and again in 1985 Assembly election. A team of the Georgia Institute of Technology India Institute of Technology India Initiative on Friday visited Andhra University and held discussions with the Vice Chancellor YC Simhadri and officials about the possibility of starting Georgia Tech Campus at Visakhapatnam in Collaboration with Andhra University. Seminar on human rights

There can be no selective implementation of human rights, the Principal of BR.Ambedkar College of Law in Andhra University, R.Venkata Rao said at seminar organized to mark the Human Rights Day on Friday. The former Principal of the college was chief guest. G.Gupteshwar dealt with definitional and jurisdictional aspects of human rights. The Register of NALSAR University of Law, A.Lakshmainath felt that the content of human rights was constantly changing with the development of new technologies like biotechnology and information technology.
