Andhra Bank will hold a two day mega mela at Kusura Submarine museum on 11th and 12th December. The mela is being held as part of the mega campaign on retail lending launched from 15th October to 15th January to sanction loans on the spot. It will be inaugurated by the Andhra Bank Executive Director R.Balakrishnan.

The CITU has taken exception to the remarks of the Congress MP and advisor to the UPA Government Jairam Ramesh that the privatization of the Public sector Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., and Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels was imminent and demanded a revival package to both the industries immediately. Speaking to media, the CITU State president Ch.Narasinga Rao alleged that the both HSL and BHPV were systematically damaged during the NDA regime. He said work orders form the Government will suffice to put them on the track.

The proposed strike by Port workers deferred strike scheduled to be taken place on Wednesday in the context that the talks on payment of bonus for port employees are in progress in New Delhi. This was stated by BMS president, K.Bhavani Shankarudu. The second round of talks is scheduled on 15th December.
