Special Passenger trains for Krishna Pushakarams

In a statement issued by the Senior Divisional Manager, East Coast Railways, for the convenience of the pilgrims, special passenger trains have been introduced. The special trains Krishna Pushkarm Special train No.247/248 will operate from 29th August to 8th September daily from Rayagada to Vijayawada and back.

Youth Congress donation for free power

For the implementation of free power supply, the Ex-Youth Congress president N.Venkata Rao has donated Rs. 1 lakh to the Chief Minister. The City Youth Congress has donated a sum of Rs.30, 000/- to the Chief Minister for implementation of free supply to the farmers. In this connection, the president of the City Youth Congress GV.Ravi Raju urged the Chief Minister to sanction ration cards to the eligible ones and also allocation of house sites to the persons below poverty line.Dr.Kutikupla Surya Rao, a noted doctor donated Rs.25,000 to the Chief Minister for the free power scheme.

Chief Minister assures to safe guard MACE

In a meeting held at Taj with the medial persons, he told that he will safe guard the interests of the employees of the Marine and Communication Electronics India Ltd., The MACE joint venture committee representatives have submitted a representation to the Chief Minister that the MACE was shut down for the past 8 years. Reacting to the representation, he assured that VRS scheme will be extended to the employees of the MACE and instructed the Minister for Commercial Taxes Konatala Ramakrishna to take immediate steps in this direction.

LIC Mutual Fund launches two new schemes

The LIC Mutual Fund Chief Executive officer, MV.Suryanaraya in a press conference on Monday said that taking stock of the financial situation in the country, it has decided to launch two Mutual Funds schemes 'Explotal LIC', 'A Dynamic Equity Fund'. He said that it is having 14 offices with 15 managements and another six offices will be shortly functioning to cater the needs of the customers.

AP Power diploma Engineers Association has felicitated Eastern Power Distribution retired CMD. Y Gopalakrishmurty on Sunday. JAC gets assurance from the Chief Minister

The Joint Action Committee for protection of Andhra University met the Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum. Responding to the allegations by the JAC, the Chief Minister said that an inquiry will be held into the complaints against the Vice-Chancellor, YC.Simhadri. The assurance he gave to a large group of teachers, employees and students along with SFI and CITU members who met him on Sunday night.
