Dr. MVVS Murthi on Global relevance in teaching
Prof. Prasad and Dr. MVVS Murthi

Former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and President of GITAM Dr. MVVS Murthi suggested that teachers need to have a global relevance in their teaching practices. He said teaching depends on learning and the students begin with this learning process from his mother and father. Quality of life should be continuously improved and hence quality of learning too has to be taken continuously.

He said that the seminars on Education help identify, discuss and act as forums for exchange of views and ideas and come out of methods and methodologies that can be taken back to the classroom.

On Management Education in India, he said that Management Education is equally exposes as the Science and Technology Education and hence teachers need to be properly equipped. He quoted that teachers need to take an example of the famous Management Guru CK Prahlad who spends over 18 hours as preparation to give a 1-hour lecture. He said that Global relevance needs be brought in to teaching. Teachers need to self-evaluate themselves and only then can they become a good teacher.
