Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh handed over at 95th ISC

Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, at the 95th Indian Science Congress handed over a gold medal to the Chairman and Managing Director of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, PK Bishnoi at program held at the Andhra University on Thursday.

The medal was given for his significant achievement for sustainable development in improving the quality of life in society and supporting the cause of science and technology. Under the leadership of Bishnoi, the Steel Plant has undertaken significant research and development activities in the areas of cost reduction, substitution of alternative materials and development of steel for new applications.
