Colorful flower spices enthralls visitors
Roses in different colors, orchids, anthodiums, gladiola, gerberas and host of other flowers greet the visitors to the three-day flower show being organized by VUDA. It opened at the VUDA Park on Thursday. Women seen engrossed in drawing rangolis on either side of the road leading to the venue.
The colorful muggulu, drawn as part of the rangoli contest organized by VUDA caught the attention of Visitors, Figures of Lord Venkateswara, Lord Ganesh and Lord Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy were attractive to say the least. A Chinese orange plant in full bloom was highlight of the bonsai section.
The colorful spices of flowers were from Ooty, Coorg, Kodaikanal, Kerala, Kolkata and Bangalore in addition to those from various parts of the State. Some of the plants and flowers have been put up on the sale. The show will be open from 9am to 9pm with a break between 2pm to 3pm.
