Only person from South India to receive Vijaya Gujral Award

Dr. Kotikuppala Surya Rao, who was chosen for the award of Padmasri was a Fellow of the Harvard University, Canberra University and Arizona University and had served as a visiting professor. He is the only person from the South India to have received the prestigious Vijaya Gujral Award during last 17 years.

Dr. Surya rao had received the Pratibha puraskarams from former Governors Kumudben Joshi, Krishan Kanth, Ranga Rajan and Surjit Singh Barnala for his outstanding services.

Former MP and Chairman of Jana Shikshan Sansthan, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad felicitated Dr.K Surya Rao.
