VUDA and Horticulture Department comes together for the annual show
The VUDA Park is all set to blossom into one of the most happening venues this year with the Visakhapatnam Urban development Authority (VUDA) officials grooming the venue for the three day ‘Flower Show-2008’ commencing from Thursday.
The annual affair will be organized by the VUDA and the Department of Horticulture. Speaking to media, the VUDA Chairman PSN Raju and Vice Chairman G Venkaram Reddy said that the event was shifted from Kalaisagiri to VUDA Park this year to facilitate the visitors.
The Show houses a myriad of flowers of various species and hues from Bangalore, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Kerala, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Dutch and Tube Roses, Carnations, Gerberas, Orchids, Lilies, Bird of Paradise, Chrysanthemum, Helliconias, dry flowers and Chinese Willow Baskets, all decorated in exotic ornamental and cut flower arrangements are sure to take by surprise. Apart from this, fruits, vegetable carvings, bonsai collection, and flower rangoli that would add colour to the venue. The show is open between 9am to 9pm according to the organizers.
