Burglars decamps with Rs.3 lakhs and 75 tolas of gold on Friday
In a broad daylight housebreak in the MVP Colony, the burglars made good away with Rs.3 lakhs and 75 tolas of gold ornaments on Friday. According to the City Police Commissioner, N Sambasiva Rao who rushed to the spot said that the burglary took placed in the Sector 2 of MVP colony. CLUES team and a dog squad rushed to the place of offence.
The victim D Maithili stays with her two children in an independent house, left for a Xerox shop run by her at around 2.30pm by leaving the utensils for cleaning by the main in the utility. After some time, the maid saw the back door opened but assuming that Malathi is taking rest in the house and started cleaning the utensils.
When Malathi returned home in the evening, she found that the front door bolted inside. When she went to the back door, she found it opened and the maid attending to her work. When she asked, the maid pleaded innocence. She was shocked when she saw the almirah and cupboards opened and the cash and gold ornaments missing. She immediately informed the police about the burglary. The police suspect that the burglars might have entered from the back door.
