VSP CMD speaks on ambitious growth plan

The Chairman and Managing Director of RINL., the corporate entity of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, PK Bishoni on Monday addressing the employees at the RINL formation Day celebrations at Ukkunagaram said that it has embarked an ambitious growth plan to retain its competitive edge and ensure sustainable development.

He said that the current expansion would see its capacity doubled with a road map drawn to expand the capacity of the company to 16MT by 2019, which would further strengthen its brand leadership in the country. He said that with the unprecedented increase in raw material prices, further enhancements in production from the existing capacities had become the need of the hour to improve the company’s margins.

He called the employees to adhere to the responsibility to the duty, devotion and discipline to enhance the image of the company. He presented Jawahar Awards to 72 employees for outstanding performance in their work on this occasion. He later inaugurated an exhibition of VSP at T&D Centre lawns for expanding vendor-partner base. Several entrepreneurs and senior officials attended. As a part of Social responsibility, he distributed tri-cycles, artificial limbs etc., among the physically challenged persons on this occasion.
