Beneficiaries to get Rs.1.06 lakh per unit with a subsidy of Rs.50,000
The District Administration has decided to provide houses to the fishermen of Dibbapalem at Yathapalem near Pedagantyada and Srinagar in Gajuwaka areas as part of rehabilitation and resettlement package for the project affected people of Gangavaram Port.
Gangavaram Port Special Officer B Bhavani Das speaking to media said today that the affected fishermen would be provided houses under Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission. He said that the beneficiaries will get Rs.1.06 lakh per unit of which Rs.50,000 as subsidy and Rs.20,000 for hill development.
He said that they had also convinced the bankers to give higher loans to eligible persons depending upon their repayment. The Gangavaram Port, developed by a private consortium is scheduled to be operational with five berths as part of the first phase.
