Sources alleged that the Maoists removed the tracks between Kottavalasa and Koraput and between Komuluru and Bansi railway stations last night. The officials cancelled all the trains on the route on receipt of the information about the incident.
The Visakhapatnam-Kirondol train terminated at Koraput while the Kirondal-Visakhapatnam passenger train was cancelled. Efforts are on to restore the track. This was the second such incident in the route during the last one month.
