Two persons arrested in this connection
The City Task Force officials today seized 100 kgs of ganja worth over Rs.5 lakhs being transported by an auto rickshaw and arrested two persons in this connection.
On a tip off, the Task Force Sub Inspectors Lakshmana Murty and Ananda Reddy said they were stationed at Pendurty-Pinagadi road to track the vehicle that was smuggling ganja from Devarapalli agency to Visakhapatnam railway station.
While checking the vehicles, the police notice two persons fleeing and the officials chased and arrested. They also seized four suitcases of ganja meant to be exported to Delhi and investigation is going on.
