Three persons arrested and remanded for judicial remand
The child sale racked busted by the City Task Force Police officials yesterday and the Two Town Police today arrested three persons including a woman in connection with the racket. The police are suspecting involvement of more people. They took up further investigation in this connection. The accused are hospital watchman Gangaraju, pregnant woman Sarojini and her mother Chinatalli were sent to judicial remand.
The trio was selling the infant to be delivered by Sarojini but failed after the Task Force personnel trapped them following a tip-off. However, further investigations are learnt to have revealed the involvement of more people from other places of the district.
During the operation at Gosha Hospital yesterday, the police enquired if they can have another baby for which Chinatalli has reportedly asked them to consult Gangaraju, Chinatalli herself named two other relatives from Palasa and Kasibugga who are pregnant and ready to sell they baby. Sources said that Gangaraju was able to arrange for people who could sell infants for money. The police are taking up the case seriously and making efforts to nab any culprits involved in the racket.
