Tournaments to be held at Swarnabharati Indoor stadium

According to East Coast Chess Academy Secretary, Dr. Bhavani Shankar, the State-level Chess tournaments will be held at Swarnabharati Indoor Stadium on September 17 and 18, 2007.

The Chess tournaments will be held in two categories ie., under 9 and AP State Open Rapid. Participants wishing to take part in the Under-9 category have to be born on or after January 1, 1998 and should bring age certificate. The tournaments will beheld in Swiss league and will select two from each category and will be sent to National Level competitions to be held in October 9, 2007 at Bangalore.

The winners will be given a cash prize of Rs.11,000 and special prizes will be given to all participants in Under-11,U-13 and U-15 categories.
