Informers body found with multiple wounds

According to sources, four persons, suspected to be Maoists, killed a tribal, V Krishna Rao at Bannavaram village of Chintapalli mandal of the district on Monday night. The assistants had their faces covered by masks.

Police sources says that a letter was found near the body suggested that it was the handiwork of CPI(Maoist) Korukonda area committee, who perpetrated the crime as he and his son in law, a constable at the Agency Annavaram were acting as police informers.

The assailants are believed to have come to his house around 10pm and took away threatening to kill his wife. His body was later found with multiple wounds near a school.
