Seizes samples costs over Rs. 2 lakhs
The Drugs Control Department seized physician samples worth Rs.2 lakhs from a go-down in Anakapalli. The samples meant for distribution to RMP doctors and Rural chemists. The Go-down owner claimed that he procured the stocks from medical representatives.
Accordingly, the District Licensing Authority R Uday Bhaskar is investigating the role of manufacturers and representatives in the clandestine deal. The raids were conducted by DCAs Ravi Uday Bhaskar of Visakhapatnam and MN Chari of Viziangaram and Anakapalli Drugs inspector AK Rajitha.
