Bomb threat at Geet and Sangeet Theaters

Bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs rushed and confirmed it a hoax

An anonymous caller informed the police control room about a bomb having been planted in Geet-Sangeet theater complex on Thursday evening. The police, along with bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs pressed into service and thoroughly checked the premises. They confirmed it a hoax call.

According to information, the police control room received a call around 5pm on Thursday evening from a prankster who informed about the bomb. Immediately, the police team lead by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, A Devandanam reached the spot along with the team of bomb disposal squad and sinner dogs. They conducted a thorough check of the theater and concluded that it was a hoax call. The police traced the call that came from a public telephone booth.
