Agreement reached at a tripartite meeting
The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Management has agreed to pay production linked bonus of Rs.14,000 to its employees for the financial year 2007-08. In a tripartite meeting held on Wednesday in the Administrative building, an agreement to this effect was reached. The bonus announced will be paid under the Annual Performance linked Reward scheme.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Executive Director Y Manohar. Among the participants in the meeting are Executive Director (Works) PVS Prasada Rao, Executive Director (P&IR), GBS Prasad, VSP recognized Union President and Secretary and union executive members, Deputy Labour Commissioner Varahala Reddy and others.
The VSP recognized union leader B Satyanandam and Neerukonda said that the payment will be made from October 15 onwards to its 16,600 employees. He claimed that it is a victory for the employees.
