Kidnappers leaves kid at Chodavaram
An unidentified youth kidnapped a nine year old boy Likhit, a IV standard student studying in Timpany School on Tuesday morning and let him off at Chodavaram in the evening. According to sources, Likhit began to school in an auto rickshaw as he does everyday. When the driver stopped at a short distance to pick up another kid, a young man accosted him and claimed he had been sent by his father to get him back home so he could take some snacks.
The driver of the auto rickshaw got doubtful and went to his house leaving the child with the stranger only to find both missing upon his return. Likhit's father, Rajaji who runs a private schools lodged a complaint with the police immediately. According to eye witnesses, the youth aged 20 years had a fair complexion. As the police went searching, another auto driver informed them that he had dropped the duo at the Dwaraka Bus Complex.
Later in the evening, the kidnapper left the boy near a pan shop in Chodavaram. Sources say that the kidnapper might have watched about the incident being scrolled in popular television channels and might have left the kid at the pan shop. The pan shop owner identified the boy as the kidnapped boy and informed the same to police. The Chodavaram police informed the city police and handed over the boy to their parents.
