Two youths diverts attention and flees away
On Monday afternoon, a retired Sub Inspector B Suryanarayana residing at Siddardha Nagar was robbed with an amount of Rs.1 lakh by diverting his attention. He has withdrawn the money from State Bank of India, Industrial Estate Branch on Monday afternoon and when he came out with the cash in a bag, two youths diverted his attention by showing a one hundred rupees note lying on the ground on the plea that it belongs to him. When he kept the bag on the scooter for taking the note, the two youth fled away with the bag containing with the cash he has withdrawn from the Bank.
Shocked over the incident, after a few while, he raised an alarm but by then, the youths have already made their way on motor cycle. No one was able to note the number of the vehicle on which they fled. It may be noted that State Bank of India Industrial Estate Branch is closely located to the Kancharapalem Police station.
Suryanarayana went to the Police station and lodged a complaint. Immediately, the ACP Y.Prem Babu, Circle Inspector Venkata Rao and Sub Inspectors Hussain and Mallikharjuna Rao rushed to the scene of offence. The police registered a case and and began investigation.
