Chairman stress importance of HR in business

Speaking at the ONGC's 22nd Human Resources Meet on Friday, the Oil and Natural Gas Commission CMD RS Sharma stressed the importance of human resources in business and suggested that human resource management should be potential management.

He said that ONGC's human resources had played a key role in meeting the country's energy requirement and spoke on various aspects relating to Human Resources to the diversified functioning of ONGC.

He said that ONGC was committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility plan under which the company takes up various development programmes in and around its operational areas. The ONGC was also contributing huge sums to the Central and the State exchequer in the form of statutory payments.
