Police building constructed at a cost of Rs. 34 lakhs
On the eve of martyrs' week celebrations, a building construed at a cost of Rs.34 lakhs at Kailasagiri by the district police is named after a slain constable. On Sunday, The Building was named after a Central Reserve Police Force constable Naga Apparao, who was killed in a land mine blast in Donkarai limits nearly seven months ago.
The deceased constable hailed from Kottur of Butchayyapeta mandal and his father, Jogaiah, a rickshaw puller inaugurated the building. The Superintendent of Police, Akun Sabharwal presented compensation and benefits due to the bereaved family.
CRPF Deputy Commandant Bhagwat and Officer on Special Duty K Srikanth were present on the occasion. A road near his native place was also named after the slain constable.
