208 piracy compact disks seized

The Task Force officials on Thursday conducted raids on video shops in the city and seized 208 piracy CDs during the raids. On a tip off, the Task Force officials raided Sampat Movie Point situated in Seethammadhara and recovered 110 piracy CDs and in Wells Video Cafe, the officials seized 98 piracy CDs.

The Task Force officials took into custody the owners of the video shops and hand them to IV Town Police and registered a case. The raids are conducted under the supervision of SI Lakahaman Murty and Siva Prasad.

308 piracy CDs seized, Owners taken into custody

According to police sources, the Task Force Officials conducted raids at various video shops on Tuesday and seized 308 piracy CDs from them.

On a tip off, the Task Force officials led by SI Lakahaman Murty and Siva Prasad raided Satyasri CD, DVD shop in Pithapuram colony and seized 57 piracy CDs from him. The police took the owner of the shop P Ramakrishna into custody.

In another raid, the officials seized 251 piracy CDs from the shop said Swoop in Chaitanyanagar at Maddilapalem and took the owner V Eswararao into custody. They registered cases against them and handed over to the Three Town Police.
