Avoids Assembly sessions
The Payakaraopet MLA Chengala Venkata Rao on whom a non bailable arrest warrant was issued and is still at large to evade arrest. The police are on the look out for him. It may be recalled that the court issued a non bailable warrant against him in connection with a clash between fishermen and workers of a private sand mining company at Bangarampeta in Nakkapalli mandal on October 18. In this connection, one person died and ten persons were injured in the clash.
The Nakkapalli police registered a case against the wanted MLA under non bailable sections for provoking the mob. It may also be recalled that the court has quashed the anticipatory bail petition.
According the the Superintendent of Police, Akun Sabharwal said that they have obtained permission from the Speaker to arrest the MLA. However, the police also informed their counterparts in Hyderabad to arrest the MLA. The MLA also avoided the Assembly session on Tuesday to evade arrest.
