Land identified at Government Circuit House

The Minister for Tourism, Information and Public Relations, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy speaking to media said that in order to give a boost to tourism in the district, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to set up a Paryatak Bhavan at Government Circuit House on the lines of Hyderabad. He announced that plans are to set up Silparamam in the city with a cost of Rs. 5 crore and at Tirupati with an estimated cost of Rs. 3 crore. The Kadapa centre will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 2 crores.

The Minister said that the AP Film Development Corporation was given 300 acres for setting up a film city at Yendada and Madhurawada, a Buddhist Circuit will be developed at Thotlakonda in addition a Dutch Village at Bheemili at a cost of Rs.2.5 crores. The minister said that the government is investing Rs.1,700 crore on tourism in the State.

The Minister inaugurated the new block of Harita Beach Resorts at Rushikonda built at a cost of Rs. 2 Crore and laid the foundation stone for Dream Health Resorts at Yendada Village. The Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konathala Ramakrishna, MLA T Gurumurty Reddy, VUDA Chairman PSN Raju, MLAs and the District Collector and Joint Collector were present.
