Jobless youth to get allowance in Chodavaram constituency

Meetho Nenu scheme offers allowances to nearly 1000 unemployed

For the first time in the State, the Chodavaram MLA G Srinivasa Rao is offering an allowance of Rs. 200 pm starting from December 1, 2007 from his own exchequer. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader K Yerrannaidu inaugurated the project Meetho Nenu on Saturday.

Under this project, it would benefit 1,000 unemployees in the constituency. All the diploma holders, graduates and postgraduates aged between 18 to 35 years in the constituency irrespective of case or religion would get the allowance till they get a job. However, they should be white ration card holders, said the MLA.

The TDP had already announced an allowance of Rs.1,000pm to the eligible unemployees in the State provided if they come to power again. Bandaru Satyanaryana, Zaheer Ahmed, PVGR Naidu and SA Rehman released the documents of the scheme.
