Ministers Ramanarayana Reddy and Konathala to participate in a homam

The three day festival of International Society for Krishna Consciousness commenced at the ISKCON Hare Krishna Land near Sagarnagar on Friday. Hundreds of people participated in the ISKCON Utsav that began with rituals in the morning. Poojas, meditation, discourses, bhajans, Aartis and other programmes were held during the entire day.

The Minister for Information and Tourism, Anam Rama Narayana Reddy, the Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konathala Ramakrishna participated in a homam held during the festival in the afternoon.

The Information Minister said that the government was helping all religions with the idea of universal peace and welfare of the people. In response to a request from ISKCON to allot five acres of land, the minister agreed to allot three acres of land.
