Charged for swindling Rs.30 lakh of Society funds
The much controversial KA Paul, evangelist and president of Gospel to the Unreached Millions (GUM) is in trouble once again with the police booking a cheating and forgery case against him for allegedly swindling Rs. 30 lakh of the society funds. Yesupadam, the brother-in-law of Paul and State Bank of India, Assistant General Manager T Subhasini were also accused of colluding with Paul and siphoning the society funds illegally.
It may be recalled that the brother of KA Paul made serious allegations against KA Paul in the recent times and Paul even went to the extent of alleging Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana. According to the Society's secretary K Srinivasa Rao said that he lodged a complaint with IV town police stating that Paul convened a meeting of the society on August 26 wherein a resolution was passed authoring cheque power to the vice president with the counter signature of president or secretary.
He alleged that KA Paul forged the signatures on the resolution and incorporated the name of Yesupadam as secretary and subsequently using the signatures of himself and Yesupadam, Paul withdrew Rs.10 lakh in cash and also obtained demand drafts worth Rs.20 lakhs. The complaint also alleged that the SBI Assistant General Manager Subhasini was hand in glove with the accused. The society filed a civil suit and obtained a direction preventing subsequent withdrawals. The Police registered a case and are investigating.
