Details of inquiry report kept confidential

It may be recalled that the Chief Manager of State Bank of Indore was brutally murdered him on October 20. The three accused planned to kill him and two of accused were killed in a police encounter at Rushikonda subsequently. The accused killed the Chief Manager when he pressurized for the repayment of a Bank loan they have taken.

Police sources said that two of the accused have opened fire at the police while being taken in a jeep. The police are forced to open fire in self-defense and in the two accused are killed in the course of the operation. The Government has appointed Rajahmundry DSP Rama Rao as inquiry officer in the encounter and a team of police personnel have taken up the job, enquired, and recorded statements from nearly 40 persons. They recorded the statement of Police Officers, Revenue Officials, Doctors and the family members of the deceased persons.

The inquiry officer based on the statements recorded, prepared a preliminary inquiry report. The preliminary report to the Government while the final report will be submitted after necessary reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory are received. Meanwhile, the government has promoted the DSP as Additional SP and transferred him to Hyderabad Regional Crime.
