Tribals launch seven days padayatra
With the launching padayatra at Sapparla of GKVeedhi mandal on Sunday, the agitation against the proposed Bauxite Mining in the Agency area is getting momentum. A large number of tribals, wielding bows and arrows are taking part in the seven day padayatra that is being organized by CPI district union.
The padayatra by 19 member tribals' team including women will conduct at Makavaripalem. During their marthon, the tribals will hold meetings at all the hamlets and villages to create awareness among them about the ill effects of mining upon their livings and environment.
