Stringent action will be taken if fails
According to a press release the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner K Ganesh Babu warned the employers of punitive action under Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 if they failed to file their annual returns.
The release stated that it is mandatory for the employers to file annual returns in forms 3A and 6A on or before April 30 every year before closing of the accounting year. However, it is observed that certain employers did not file their returns in the stipulated time.
The statement said that such employers were asked to realize that non filing of statutory returns was an offence punishable under the EPF Scheme.
